Hear authentic personal experiences and get candid answers from Josh Devon, an entrepreneur who raised millions from brand name VCs and David Luk, a long-time startup investor who now provides rescue capital to startups as a managing partner of Palm Venture Studios (

We’ll be discussing the pros and cons of raising money (from VCs, strategics, family offices, angels and others), lessons learned, and today’s market, followed by an open forum Q&A moderated by Dave Schneider of Philly Tech Entrepreneurs.

Keynote Speakers:

More recently, he was Chief Revenue Officer at HeavyWater, a FinTech AI company sold to Black Knight (NYSE: BKI) in 2018, and CEO at EmmaWell, a maternal mental health digital platform.

He currently is Managing Partner at Palm Venture Studios, a group of investors and operators looking to invest in distressed, tech-enabled startups / assets across the U.S. We’re backed by a family office and currently deploying from our $90M fund.
