FAQ’s

Philly Tech Entrepreneurs is Free! Occasionally events will have a small ticket fee, usually around $10. You can see in the event description if it is free or paid.

It can be! It is not paramount to have a business or to even be an “entrepreneur” to join PTE events. You just have to have an entrepreneur’s spirit and to be interested in networking with other individuals in tech.

Many community members don’t live in the city proper. Some people have even commuted over an hour to attend an event. But if you don’t live close enough to actually attend an event, I wouldn’t recommend joining.

The easiest thing to do is to join the Slack community and to introduce yourself, while also joining meetup to stay on top of upcoming events. Eventually come out to an event, and you’ll be hooked!

As of writing, we currently have over 850 people in our meetup group and over 350 in the Slack channel. Events are often attended by anywhere from 20 – 60 people, depending on the occasion.
